EMI Group has recruited former Northern Foods CEO Pat O'Driscoll to its investor board.

She will be tasked with helping assess EMI Group's talent, and assisting with the music giant's culture change, according to EMI in a statement issued today.

In the statement, EMI chairman Guy Hands remarked, "She is taking on the vital role of ensuring that EMI makes the most of its people and the vast amounts of talent available to it."

O'Driscoll stepped down from Northern Food in February after almost three years at the groceries group. Her resume includes earlier, senior roles within Shell's retail businesses.

EMI's investor board was created in August after equity house Terra Firma acquired London-based EMI. The firm last week announced the appointment of former BAA CEO Mike Clasper and producer Billy Mann to the new board.
