Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) has promoted Nick Robinson from executive to senior executive, writer/publisher relations, Europe.

Robinson, who had served in his most recent role for five years, continues to work from BMI's London office, reporting to Brandon Bakshi, executive director, writer/publisher relations, Europe and Asia.

"Nick has done a wonderful job of maintaining existing ties and creating new synergies within the European songwriter community," comments Bakshi in a statement. "His business skills will continue to service our affiliates and his promotion is certainly a well deserved one."

During his time with the performing right organization, Robinson has signed and worked with such artists as James Blunt, Natasha Bedingfield, Keane, Hard-Fi and Klaxons.

Prior to joining BMI, Robinson had a five-year stint as head of the A&R department at EMI Records U.K., and as a journalist with the Music Week trade publication before that.
