Indiestore.com, the download service from U.K. digital media delivery company 7digital, is teaming up with interactive entertainment channel Sub.tv to give unsigned artists the chance to film live studio sessions.

Each month, one of the unsigned acts and independent labels who sell their music on indiestore.com will be invited to record a video for Sub.tv, which will be placed on rotation for a month. The channel broadcasts to plasma screens in student unions across the U.K., and the company says it reaches 1.8 million students every week.

The first artist to benefit, Lucky Soul, will see its video broadcast from Dec. 3. The partnership will also allow artists to create a profile page on Sub.tv's Web site and sell music from it by adding an indiestore widget.

"The partnership with Sub.tv is a great opportunity for aspiring artists to reach a wider audience through video as well as audio," says 7digital CEO Ben Drury, in a statement.
