Glastonbury Festival has launched its search for an unsigned artist who will earn a slot at the 2008 event.

The Glastonbury New Talent competition is now in its fourth year and will be run online in partnership with Q magazine. It launched tonight at 9pm GMT at Q4music.com, where unsigned, U.K.-based acts can upload up to two tracks.

The judges' choice will get to play the Other Stage or the Pyramid Stage next summer. Liz Green, the Deadbeats and the Subways are the previous New Talent winners.

"It's been very exciting to have been involved in this competition since the beginning," says festival organiser Emily Eavis, who will also sit on the judging panel, in a statement. "Now we are moving to digital entries, our net will be wider. I am sure we will be able to find some incredible new bands out there. It's great for the competition, and most importantly, it will be a great contribution to the festival."

The deadline for uploading entries is 11pm GMT on Jan. 27.
