Welsh newcomer Duffy girl is up for a hat-trick of trophies at MOJO magazine's annual awards, to be held June 16 in London.

The singer, who's debut album "Rockferry" (A&M) is currently No. 1 on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums chart and has shipped double platinum (600,000 units) in the United Kingdom, is in the running for best album, breakthrough act and song of the year gongs.

Veteran Aussie alternative rock group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds grabs a pair of nominations at the MOJO Honours List awards. Cave and his bandmates are up for best album with "Dig!!! Lazarus, Dig!!!" (Mute), and song of the year for the set's title track.

Alex Turner has chances in four categories. The singer's group Arctic Monkeys gets mentions in the best album and best live act categories, while his side-project, the Last Shadow Puppets, whose debut "The Age of the Understatement" (Domino) is the current U.K. No. 1, is up for breakthrough act and best song trophies.
