The Official U.K. Charts Company (OCC), compiler of the U.K.'s music-sales charts, has re-branded itself as The Official Charts Company with immediate effect.

The organization's new logo drops the word "U.K." and emphasizes the word "official." According to at statement from OCC managing director Martin Talbot, "the re-branding reflects the consumer research which indicated that the 'official' nature of our charts sets us apart from the rest of the field."
