MTV Networks International has partnered with the Philippines Department of Tourism (PDOT) to launch MTV Revelations, a global campaign targeted at encouraging young people to include the Philippines in their travel itineraries.

The campaign will launch in February 2009, targeting 12 key markets: the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.

It will feature MTV VJs from different countries talking about their own positive experiences in the Philippines. These clips will be combined with Web activity specific to each territory's culture to increase local relevance.

"MTV is the brand most synonymous with youth - youth culture, music, lifestyle and travel - globally," said Bill Roedy, chairman and CEO of MTV Networks International, in a statement. "We're delighted that with our international reach we can work with the DOT to promote the Philippines to such a targeted youth audience across so many countries."
