Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance (U.K.) has entered into exclusive international distribution agreements with VP Records and Greensleeves Records outside North America, Japan and the Caribbean. The agreement with the reggae labels will see all physical and digital formats distributed via ADA.

"We're very pleased to be working with VP and Greensleeves, who will bring even greater diversity to our roster," aaid Susan Rush, managing director of ADA (U.K.), in a statement.

"The international nature of these partnerships is further evidence that ADA has a stable, expansive and flexible infrastructure that meets the needs of independent labels looking to manage their global businesses more efficiently."

Olivier Chastan, president of Greensleeves Records and VP of VP Records, added: "We were looking for a solution to consolidate our physical distribution in Europe under one umbrella. We also wanted to fold our physical and digital businesses under one roof to better manage the transition from physical to digital distribution.

"As an independent label operating in a niche genre worldwide, ADA seemed to offer the right combination of local expertise coupled to a global distribution network."

VP Records and Greensleeves Records, part of VP Music Group, form the largest reggae record company in the world. Artists the labels have released include Shaggy, Beenie Man, Shabba Ranks, Sean Paul, Elephant Man and Mavado.

Greensleeves Publishing, the publishing arm of the company, is the largest reggae publisher in the world.

The U.K. arm of ADA was created in 2006 and offers sales and distribution services for independent labels in the U.K. Its roster includes Because, Defected, Dramatico, Earache, Ed Banger, First Night, Roadrunner and Saddle Creek.
