Former 102.1 the Edge program director Alan Cross is to host a show on start-up Internet video channel AUX.

Cross left the Toronto alt-rock station last June to become senior program director at parent company Corus Entertainment's Splice Interactive division.

Details of his new show are not yet available, but Cross is best-known for helming nationally-syndicated alternative rock radio documentary series "The Ongoing History of New Music," which has logged over 600 episodes since first airing in 1993.

AUX, a division of Mississauga-based media company Glassbox Television, officially launches at the end of January.
