MTV U.K. has been announced as the official television broadcast partner of the 2009 Gaymers Camden Crawl and will host the two-day event's 3,000-capacity Roundhouse gigs. It is the first time that MTV has partnered with the Crawl, which brings together more than 150 acts in around 40 local venues in Camden, north London on April 24 to 25.

"MTV is all about live music and we are thrilled to be the official TV broadcast partner of this year's Crawl," said Richard Godfrey, SVP, production and music, in a statement. "MTV has always championed both emerging and established musical talent and the debut gigs at the Roundhouse will bring some of the freshest acts to North London."

As part of the deal, MTV will air exclusive content across its network of music channels as well as unique online content.

As is the tradition with Camden Crawl, full line-ups and stage times will not be revealed until the night of the performances. Acts confirmed so far include Dan Black, Danny & the Champions Of The World, Datarock, I Blame Coco, Brakes, the Von Bondies, the Whip and the King Blues.

In previous years, surprise guests have appeared at various venues during the two-day event. Tickets are available as either two-day or single-day passes.
