U.K. digital music service We7 will add subscription services to its free ad-funded streaming and a-la-carte options.

We7 Premium will offer unlimited, ad-free streaming via PC for £4.99 ($8) a month in the U.K. from Feb. 1 - and an introductory price of £3.99 ($6.40) for the first 90 days.

Mobile service We7 Premium Plus will offer the same service for iPhone and Android users for £9.99 ($16) a month. It will be available when it completes the Apple Appstore acceptance process. The service, which includes an offline option to listen to playlists when there is no wi-fi or 3G connection, will become available for other phones and devices in 2010.

"The new premium services are about choice for the consumer," said We7 CEO Steve Purdham in a statement. "In the new digital music economy there is no single business model that fits all, that is why we give consumers the ability to listen to great music how they want, where they want and at a price they are prepared to pay."

Oxfordshire-based We7 said it has 2.5 million unique users a month and a catalog of 4 million songs.
