Brazilian banking giant Banco Bradesco has announced a partnership with Universal Music Group to create a new streaming music platform exclusively for its credit card holders. When launched, Bradesco Music will give customers access to over half a million songs and 50,000 hi-def videos from UMG's catalog at a monthly subscription of $4.90 reals (approx. $2 USD).

According to Universal, Bradesco Music will have a mobile app for phones and tablets, as well as a desktop component. Customers are going to have streaming access to unlimited playlists and new releases by UMG artists -- inluding Seu Jorge and Enrique Iglesias -- along with editorial including music news.

In a statement, Universal Music Brazil president Jose Antonio Eboli hailed the "pioneering partnership" with Bradesco. "We have a vast and eclectic music catalog and always seek new ways of bringing art to the Brazilians," he said. "I'm sure that this new service will be very well appreciated by the holders of Bradesco Music cards and we insist that they have the best experiences the music universe can provide them."

Other subscription services already in Brazil include Spotify, Rdio and Deezer.
