From veterans to next-gen stars, diverse acts rank among the year's top tours.

The list of the top 25 tours according to Billboard Boxscore comprises the types of tours the industry likes to see: veteran superstars who should sell tickets, artists that broke a decade ago now showing legs and rejuvenation among breakout acts that have only become headliners in the past five years.

Based on numbers reported to Boxscore from Nov. 14, 2012, through Nov. 12 of this year, the top 25 reveal a healthy live business. A wide range of genres is represented, indicative of a business that is fielding the acts that spur fans to buy tickets.
