Grammy-winning singer Jennifer Hudson and the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry will be honored at this year's Grammys on the Hill Awards, to be held April 17 at the Hamilton in Washington, D.C.
Hudson will perform and accept the Recording Academy's Recording Artists' Coalition Award, and Dr. James Billington and will accept the Grammys on the Hill Awards on behalf of the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. Chicago's York Community High School, meanwhile, will be recognized as the 2013 Grammy Signature School.
In addition to Hudson, the evening will also include performances by songwriter/producer and former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi, cellist Zoë Keating, and SESAC songwriters Angela Hunte (Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State Of Mind") and Victoria Shaw (Garth Brook's "The River").
Grammys on the Hill is presented by the Recording Academy and the Grammy Foundation. Sponsored by SESAC, proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation's Grammy Signature Schools program.
