London-based independent music company Sanctuary Group plc has hired investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) as its broker and corporate adviser. The pact, effective from May 1, concludes a year-long relationship between Sanctuary and broker Numis Securities.

In a statement issued today to the London stock exchange, Sanctuary said CSFB was better placed to support its expansion drive, with particular focus on the United States and Europe.

"We are committed to growing Sanctuary internationally and we are very pleased that CSFB have agreed to represent us during what will be a very exciting period for the Group," says Sanctuary executive chairman Andy Taylor.

Earlier this year, Taylor confirmed the group was eyeing acquisitions of a number of unidentified niche recording and publishing catalogs.
