Cohen named prez of Circuit City-owned service.

Chicago-based digital music service MusicNow is shaking up its management ranks in the wake of its recent acquisition by Circuit City.

Scott Kauffman is out as CEO after a 16-month stint at MusicNow; replacing him is MusicNow co-founder Gary Cohen, who is named to the newly created position of president.

In addition, Chris Gladwin, MusicNow's COO and co-founder, is leaving the company in order to "pursue new opportunities."

Cohen is based in Chicago and reports to Fiona Dias, president of Circuit City Direct. He will oversee the integration of MusicNow into Circuit City's stores and Web site.

Kauffman, who joined MusicNow last February, will remain a member of the MusicNow board of directors.
