Songseekers International, the U.K.-based music licensing company that helped launched the United Kingdom's first official ringtones chart, has launched a mobile-music subsidiary called Juice Mobile Entertainment (JME).

While the long-established Songseekers focuses on licensing music for TV commercials and other audiovisual uses, JME aims to find and develop talented songwriters to compose content for wireless-usage.

"Juice will fulfil the role that independent record labels carry out in the music industry by developing talent into international mobile superstars," says London-based David Simmons, the chairman of Songseekers. Simmons worked with the Mobile Entertainment Forum to set up the Official U.K. Ringtones Chart in May.

Simmons is soon expected to reveal the names of ringtones composers and songwriters signed to JME.
