Sony building to serve as merged major's HQ.
The management restructuring has begun at the new Sony BMG Music Entertainment, sources say.
At New York-based Sony Music International, chairman Bob Bowlin and president Rick Dobbis are not expected to be part of the joint venture, according to sources.
Meanwhile, at BMG, VP of corporate communications worldwide Patrick Reilly is also expected to exit the merged major.
As previously reported, the merged company, which currently numbers 10,000 employees, is expected to chop more than 2,000 jobs worldwide. Executives say the restructuring process will continue to play out through 2005.
One thing that has been decided is that the merged company will be housed at the Sony headquarters at 550 Madison Ave. in New York.
A Sony spokesman declined comment.
