Albums due this year from Silkk, Lil' Romeo, TRU.
Koch Records has renewed its partnership with Master P and his The New No Limit label, Billboard.biz has learned. Koch will continue to provide promotion, marketing and distribution services for all New No Limit releases.
After the initial deal was forged last year, The New No Limit/Koch in March released Master P's double album "Good Side/Bad Side," which debuted at No. 11 on The Billboard 200.
The label is now readying the Sept. 7 release of "Based on a True Story," the fifth album from Master P's brother Silkk The Shocker. Due Sept. 21 is "RomeoLand," the new album from Lil' Romeo, Master P's son. In addition, The New No Limit/Koch is planning the Nov. 23 release of "The Truth," a new album by the reunited TRU (comprising Master P, Silkk The Shocker and their brother C-Murder). The set is the follow-up to their platinum-certified "Da Crime Family."
In January 2005, Master P will release his 11th album, "The Ghetto Bill Gates," to be followed by new music from Lil' Romeo's hit Nickelodeon television series, "Romeo." Also look for new studio albums from the 504 Boyz and the debut from New No Limit teen rap act Rich Boyz (featuring Lil' Romeo).
Master P launched No Limit Records as a self-distributed label in 1994. He later inked a distribution deal with Universal Records before signing with Koch in 2003.
