EMusic says it has sold more than 3 million downloads since it relaunched in September with a new editorial team featuring former writers from The New York Times and Rolling Stone.

The company reports that it sold more than 1.5 million downloads per month in October and November -- a 50% increase over its pre-relaunch levels.

EMusic -- which focuses on indie label content -- sells MP3 downloads on a subscription basis. Packages start at 40 downloads for $9.99 per month. "We expect continued momentum and see strong growth through the holiday season and well into 2005," says COO David Pakman.
