Latin company seeking replacement.

McHenry Tichenor has resigned as president of Univision Radio, effective Dec. 31. The company says Tichenor will "pursue other interests outside of the Spanish-language broadcast business."

Tichenor will remain on Univision Communications' board of directors and will act as a consultant for the company. Univision Radio COO Gary Stone will oversee day-to-day operations until a
successor for Tichenor is found.

Tichenor was the longtime president/CEO of Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. before that company
merged with Univision earlier this year.

Univision Radio, the largest U.S. Spanish-language radio network, owns and operates 72 stations in 17 of the top 25 markets, including Puerto Rico.

Tichenor's resignation follows another high-profile Latin radio departure last month: Haz Montana exited as VP of programming for Entravision Communications, whose holdings include the youth-driven Super Estrella format. No replacement has been announced for Montana.
