Government officials will be on hand for the National Assn. of Record Industry Professionals' launch event for its Las Vegas operations tomorrow (Jan. 20) at the Bellagio Hotel. Federal special-events officials and local civic leaders will discuss entertainment issues with record executives and managers.

“Helping our members form strong business relationships with such decision-makers is what we do best,” says NARIP president Tess Taylor. “This year marks the City of Las Vegas’ 100th anniversary, and it’s a celebratory year with many big-budget events in the works and deals to
be made. We help our members access those opportunities.”

Taylor adds that with the Las Vegas record industry developing at a rapid rate, “we are delighted to establish operations in this dynamic and exciting region, and to foster growth of the record business during this time of dramatic change.”

NARIP, formed in 1998, promotes education, career advancement and goodwill among record executives.
