Merengue star plans new album for April.
Merengue star Olga Tañón has signed with Sony BMG after a long association with Warner.
A new album is due April 5. The first single, “Bandolero,” which she co-wrote with José Luis Morín, will go to radio Feb. 14.
Tañón’s last album of new material for Warner was “Sobrevivir,” released in 2002. “A Puro Fuego,” a compilation with a new track, was released last year.
Tañon is handled by sister Gloria Tañón.
