Philadelphia-based facility management firm Global Spectrum, operator of the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J., has promoted Eric J. Cuthbertson to GM of the 10,000-seat venue.

Philadelphia-based facility management firm Global Spectrum, operator of the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J., has promoted Eric J. Cuthbertson to GM of the 10,000-seat venue.

Cuthbertson, who has been assistant GM since 2002, replaces Michael Scanlon, who was named to a management position at the Portland (Ore.) Rose Garden Arena, another Global Spectrum facility.

Additionally, Fran Rodowicz moves to the Sovereign Bank Arena from the Global Spectrum-managed Wachovia Complex in Philadelphia, as the new assistant GM.

Cuthbertson joined Global Spectrum in 2002 from Feld Entertainment, where he was assistant director of North American tours for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and Disney on Ice. He joined Feld Inc. in l995 as a promoter.

In his new role, Cuthbertson will oversee day-to-day operations of the Sovereign Bank Arena, including booking and scheduling of events, financial management, operational detail, marketing, sponsorships, advertising sales and publicity. He will report to Global Spectrum COO John Page.

Rodowicz joined Global Spectrum in l998.
