New lawsuits bring total above 9,000.

The Recording Industry Assn. of America said yesterday (Feb. 28) it has filed another wave of copyright infringement lawsuits against 753 people it suspects of distributing songs over the Internet without permission.

To date, the RIAA has sued more than 9,000 people for distributing songs over peer-to-peer networks such as eDonkey and Kazaa.
