Deal eases download search process.

Online video-on-demand service Movielink has partnered with Web search company Blinkx in a deal that simplifies the search process for consumers to find content they want to download.

Users of San Francisco-based Blinkx (accessible at can now search for content, watch trailers and download movies that are available through Santa Monica, Calif.-based Movielink. The search and trailer functions are free. If a consumer wants to download content, the deal provides them with a direct gateway to Movielink. Downloads are available for $1.99 to $4.99.

"We are always looking to extend our reach to new customers, and provides U.S. movie fans with a broadband connection and easy way to search for and access movies for legal download from Movielink," Alan Citron, senior VP of marketing for Movielink, says in a statement.
