Napster U.K. has struck an alliance with Toshiba through which the electronics giant will bundle the digital music service on a selection of its PCs.

Under the pact, unveiled today (April 7), Toshiba's Satellite Pro L10, Satellite P30, and Qosmio F10 multimedia notebooks now come with Napster client software installed on their desktops.

On purchasing one of the computers, users are offered an introductory free 30-day trial to Napster's subscription music service.

Since going live in the United Kingdom last May, Napster has forged a flurry of deals which give it presences in such traditional outlets as Britain's Post Office and Dixons electrical goods stores. Napster will also extend its brand to television through a series of short music related programs on national British network Channel 4.
