Converse is implementing an artist marketing plan at the 2005 Coachella Valley Music Festival, which takes place April 30 - May 1 in Indio, Calif.

The fashion brand is offering several opportunities for artists attending and performing to walk away with Converse gear.

The plan includes gift bags, access to the Converse Tour Bus and "brand seeding" of the Artist Compound, the backstage area for bands and artists, according to Converse director of entertainment marketing Liz Mazzocchi.

Converse is also a sponsor of the Spin magazine-hosted April 30 after-party in the backstage Rose Garden area.
