U.S. Marine benefit to air nationwide.
A concert featuring such major performers as Destiny's Child, Godsmack and Kiss is being shown at movie theaters nationwide June 27 for one-night only in an effort to raise money in support of the U.S. Marine Corps.
"Rockin' the Corps," filmed April 1 at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, was put together for an audience of more than 40,000 U.S. Marines and Sailors, and their family members.
The concert will also feature Hootie and the Blowfish, Richie Sambora and Ted Nugent, and is hosted by comedians Cedric the Entertainer, Jay Mohr and Louie Anderson.
"Rockin' the Corps" will be shown at 132 Regal Entertainment Group movie theaters in 74 cities at 7 p.m. local time in all markets. Tickets are on sale beginning today for $15 at movie theater box offices and online at BigScreenConcerts.com.
A portion of ticket sale proceeds will be donated to the non-profit group Support the Corps, which provides services to Marine Corps soldiers and families.
The concert will be presented in high definition.
