Coldplay's trans-Atlantic hit "X&Y" (Parlophone) has shipped two million copies across Europe, according to the IFPI's platinum certifications for June.

The British band's third album, which has claimed the top spot on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums survey since its June 6 release, was one of four albums to reach double-platinum status in the trade body's latest awards.

Katie Melua's "Call Off the Search" (Dramatico), Gabrielle's "Dreams Can Come True" (Go Beat/Polydor) hits set and Lenny Kravitz' "5" (Virgin) each achieved double platinum status.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent's "The Massacre" (Interscope) was honored with its first platinum award, for pan-European shipments in excess of 1 million units.
