Music store reaches milestone in four days.
The iTunes Music Store has sold more than one million downloads in the four days since its Aug. 4 launch in Japan, Apple Computer said today (Aug. 8).
Earlier this month, one high-ranking Japanese industry source predicted that the service would take one week to hit the one million milestone.
Japanese bands grabbed the lion's share of sales. The most popular single was Def Tech's "My Way" and the top album was Ulful's compilation "iTunes Originals." The top foreign single was U2's “Vertigo” and the top foreign album was Coldplay's “X&Y”. Apple did not break out sales figures.
