San Jose, Calif.-based film festival Cinequest launched its own DVD label today (Sept. 14). The label will release films from its film festival, which takes place annually each March. This year's festival is slated for March 1-12, 2006.

Kicking off the launch is the release of six films on DVD. These titles include the documentaries "Awful Normal," "Fandom" and "Rock and Roll Superhero," the comedy "Terrorists," a thriller called "Seizing Me" and the drama "Dry Funny Happy." All were released today.

Each title will be available for sale at the festival's Web site (CinequestOnline.org), and will be priced at about $14.99. Some of the titles will also be available for free download on the Web site.

Cinequest projects will also be available for rent through an exclusive deal with online service Netflix.
