Cellphone manufacturing giant Motorola has unveiled the international rollout for the ROKR, the new handset that is compatible with Apple Computer's iTunes Music Store and was launched in the United States on Sept. 7.

Following a major U.K. introduction today (Sept. 16) via Carphone Warehouse, Europe's biggest mobile-phone retailer, and leading carriers such as O2 and Orange, the device will launch in Germany at the end of this month.

The price point in Europe €389 ($475.50).

The Motorola ROKR will also be available by the end of September in France, Italy and Canada, where the carrier partner is Rogers Wireless.

In Asia-Pacific, the new handset will be on sale in Hong Kong first, at the end of this month, followed by Australia, Singapore and the Philippines, mid-October.

During the fourth quarter of this year, consumers in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and other selected markets will also have access to the ROKR.
