Key execs promoted to lead new business units.

Corporate event producer and consumer marketing firm TBA Global Events has restructured and will go forward as four specific business units, beginning today.

The four units are: strategic events/meeting planning services, destination management, consumer marketing and fairs & festivals entertainment.

The following key executives have been appointed to head the new business units: Bob McCormick is named senior VP, of strategic events/meeting planning services; Jill Liszewski is named senior VP of destination management; Dennis Boyle is named senior VP of consumer marketing and Fran Romeo is named VP of fair & festivals entertainment.

In other news from TBA, C.B. Wismar is named senior VP and will work on both international business initiatives and strategic marketing. David Kahn is named senior VPof sales.

Greg Anton is named senior VP of account management and Leo Fitzpatrick is named senior VP of creative, responsible for TBA's team of creative directors, designers, artists and strategists.

In a deal that was first tipped in Billboard in February of 2004 and finalized in June of that year, Irving Azoff purchased TBA Entertainment in partnership with veteran entertainment executive Robert Geddes and investment firm JHW Greentree Capital, an affiliate of Stamford, Conn.-based Whitney & Co.

The transaction, described as a "definitive merger agreement," took the publicly traded TBA private; the name was changed to TBA Global Events in December of last year (Billboard, Dec. 18, 2004).
