The Next Big Idea-west Conference is to for Jan. 17 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles and will feature special guests including Gene Simmons of Simmons/Abramson Marketing and co-founding member of KISS, Screen Actors Guild president Alan Rosenberg, Writer's Guild of America west president Patric Verrone and former NBA star James Worthy.

The conference topics include "The Next Wave - 10 Trends That Will Shape Entertainment in 2006," "The Gene Simmons Brand," "NASCAR Goes To Hollywood," "Talent and Story Drive Entertainment - Are They Compensated Properly For Their Place in Branded Entertainment" and "Making Sure You Get Many Happy Returns - How To Measure the Deal."

This comprehensive conference will again be hosted by VNU brands Adweek, Brandweek, Mediaweek, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, Sporting Goods Business, and Nielsen Entertainment, in association with the Entertainment and Media Management Institute at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
