Nancy Taylor previously held positions with Arista, MCA.
Warner/Chappell Music appointed Nancy Taylor senior VP, office of the chairman. She will be based in New York.
Working closely with Warner/Chappell chairman/CEO Richard Blackstone, Taylor will be responsible for pursuing new business opportunities and coordinating company initiatives originating from Blackstone's office. She will also help to establish and maintain the publisher's relationships with songwriters, their representatives, business partners and others.
Before joining Warner/Chappell, Taylor held various positions with Sony BMG Music Entertainment including VP/deputy counsel business & legal affairs for Arista Records. She was also an attorney in private practice in Los Angeles and worked as VP black music at MCA Records.
"As we position Warner/Chappell as a leading music publisher in the digital age, Nancy's extensive experience in multiple facets of both the recorded music and music publishing industry will make her a key member of the senior management team," Blackstone says.
Taylor earned a B.A degree from U.C.L.A. and a J.D. degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California Berkeley.
