The Mexican sextet, spawned from the soap opera "Rebelde," has become a Latin pop phenomenon, with two albums placing in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart since the beginning of the year.

RBD has sold more than two million albums worldwide in the past year alone, according to label EMI/Televisa. In tandem with their tour, RBD is readying to release an acoustic album, recorded in Los Angeles, and also has plans to record in English.

A Portuguese version of their album "Rebelde" was also successfully released in Brazil. The RBD tour is being booked by Peter Bellas at All Access Entertainment in Los Angeles.
