Warner Music Group’s WEA Corp. has formed a digital distribution partnership with three independent retail coalitions, allowing them to more easily establish online music services. The stores will carry music from all labels—majors and indies—that make their catalogs available for download sales

Members of the Coalition of Independent Music Stores, The Association of Independent Media Stores, and Music Monitor Network may now augment their brick-and-mortar sales with online downloads of both catalog tracks as well as in-store performances, local unsigned artists and bundled extra content like videos, interactive booklets and bonus tracks.

To create the digital offerings, WEA is working with B3 Corp., a provider of direct-to-consumer commerce services. The companies plan to begin providing digital downloading resources and infrastructure to the first set of online stores this month.
