Hearn, Mathison move to new buyer roles.
HMV Digital, the new media division of the music-retail giant HMV in the UK, has promoted two in its product buying unit.
Andy Hearn, formerly the rock and pop buyer at the store’s traditional product department, is the new rock and pop buyer for digital.
Steve Mathison, an 11-year HMV veteran who was previously store manager at the company’s outlet in the English town of Basildon, is the new soul and dance buyer for digital sales.
Both will report to Dave Elston, HMV’s digital product manager, and Mark Bennett, head of HMV Digital.
