Holt named digital executive VP for network.

Courtney Holt, Interscope Geffen A&M’s top new media executive, is jumping to MTV Networks.

Holt has been named executive VP of digital music for MTV Networks’ Music & Logo Group, and will oversee digital initiatives for MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo, including MTV’s “Overdrive,” VH1’s “VSPOT,” mtvU’s “Uber,” and CMT’s soon-to-launch “Loaded" broadband channels. He will also be responsible for URGE, the newly launched MTV digital music service.

Holt will relocate from Los Angeles to New York and reports to Van Toffler, president of MTV Networks’ Music & Logo Group.

He replaces MTV’s recently departed digital music chief Jason Hirschhorn.

During his tenure at Interscope, Holt guided digital marketing efforts for the likes of Eminem, 50 Cent and U2, forged partnerships with Apple, Microsoft and Verizon, and created strategic partnerships with such marketers as Pepsi and MSN.
