Exec exited Universal eLabs in late June.

EMI Music worldwide has appointed Barney Wragg its new head of digital. Wragg, who exited his role as senior VP of Universal Music Group’s eLabs in late June, reports to Alain Levy, EMI’s chairman/CEO and David Munns, EMI’s vice chairman. He will be based at EMI’s London headquarters when he takes up his new position later this year.

Wragg will be EMI’s key digital executive in charge of current and future digital strategies at the major label’s five regional offices and subsidiaries. He will develop and maintain relationships with digital service providers, as well as oversee best digital practice throughout the EMI Music group.

“We are very pleased that Barney is joining EMI to lead the next phase of our digital strategy,” Levy said.
