Label to utilize 'Musicane Groups.'

Musicane, a service that helps artists and labels sell digital content directly from their own Web sites, has launched a new offering that allows companies to manage online sales for multiple artists at once.

In conjunction with the launch, the Santa Monica, Calif.-based company has inked a deal to license the solution, known as “Musicane Groups,” to Koch Records. Koch plans to use it to sell ringtones and other content directly from the social network profiles of their artists.

William Crowley of VP of special markets for Koch, said the label was attracted to the ability to allow social network users to buy content from artist pages without leaving the site.

Musicane clients will receive 80% of each digital sale – whether for individual tracks, full-length albums, ringtones, videos or other original content.
