Universal Music Publishing Group has signed hip-hop songwriter/artist Attitude to an exclusive, worldwide publishing deal.
Attitude co-wrote Nelly Furtado's “Promiscuous,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, and made a guest appearance on the album track "Afraid." According to UMPG, Attitude has also written ghost rhymes for the Timbaland and Diddy.
The Alabama native released his own hip-hop album, "Serious Times," in 1996. He started a record label, Centa Street Records, with partner Wade Summerville.
Attitude has also collaborated with Bubba Sparxx on "Deliverance" and is currently working on a group project with Timbaland and Ft. Worth, Tex., rapper 6-2. He has a mix tape album, "Key 2 Da Streetz," out with DJ Wally Sparks.
Attitude joins UMPG’s R&B/hip-hop roster, which includes 50 Cent, Chamillionaire, Ciara, G-Unit, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Amerie, Ashanti, Mary J. Blige and Printz Board.
