CAB Gold Ribbon Awards set for Nov. 7.

Canadian singer/songwriters Sarah McLachlan and Daniel Lavoie will be inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Broadcast Hall of Fame in the music star category at the 2006 CAB Convention.

The inductions will take place during the CAB Gold Ribbon Awards Gala Nov. 7 in Vancouver. Both Halifax native McLachlan and Manitoba-born Francophone star Lavoie will perform at the event.

“We are honored to be recognizing the tremendous contributions of these two outstanding musicians at the CAB’s 80th Anniversary Convention,” said CAB Chair Rob Braide. “Both artists exemplify this country’s highest achievements in musical talent.”
