Plug pulled at end of November.

Japanese music trade magazine Oricon has revealed that its Oricon Style PC-based music-download service will cease operations at the end of November.

Tokyo-based Oricon said on Oct. 31 that the service, which was introduced in March 2005, had become uneconomical because of strong competition from other PC-based download services such as iTunes Music Store and mobile-based download services.

Oricon Style will continue to offer a mobile-based download service.
