As expected, Meat Loaf will hit the road next spring to present highlights from his "Bat Out of Hell" trilogy. The trek begins Feb. 23 in Pala, Calif., and will wrap April 12 at New York's Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The tour comes in support of Loaf's new Virgin release "Bat Out of Hell III -- The Monster Is Loose," which has sold 163,000 copies in the United States since its late October release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"It's going to work great," Loaf recently told of the live show. "It's in two halves, and there's costume changes and a string section and some funny stuff happening right at the top -- really unexpected stuff happening within the first six minutes of the show."
