BlackBerry creator Jim Balsillie believes the mobile email device he invented will soon take the music industry by storm.

The chairman and CEO of Research in Motion (RIM) is on a mission to make the "Crackberry" as addictive to music-loving teens as it is today to the business community by boosting the device's music features and taking on multimedia devices such as the iPhone.

And at a recent investors conference in Toronto, he climbed on the anti-DRM bandwagon, saying such content owners will have to "shift their business models."

While Apple's Steve Jobs dissed the idea of Qwerty-keyboards on mobile devices, RIM is on track to sell another million new BlackBerry devices this year.
