Famed Russian pianist Evgeny Kissin has joined the EMI Classics roster.

His first release for label will be "Schumann Piano Concerto In A minor Op.54," and "Mozart Piano Concerto In C minor K.491 No.24" with the London Symphony Orchestra and British conductor Sir Colin Davis, recorded live in September 2006 and to be released internationally Sept. 3.

This will be followed with the complete "Beethoven Concertos," again with Davis and the LSO. Further projects for 2008 will be announced later.

Until recently, Kissin recorded for Sony Classical.

A child prodigy, Kissin began his recording career at age 12 with "Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 and 6 Etudes-Tableaux from Op. 39" with the London Symphony Orchestra, under Valery Gergiev.

He has gone on to release more than forty recordings and tour the world with renowned conductors and orchestras. He received a Grammy for his 2005 release "Scriabin: Sonata No. 3 and Five Preludes, Medtner: Sonata Reminiscenza, Stravinsky: Three Movements from Pétrouchka."

He is due to begin an international tour on April 18 at the Kennedy Centre in Washington, DC.
