Pop and mariachi star Alejandro Fernandez has announced the first U.S. leg of his "Viento a Favor" tour. The Live Nation-produced trek starts Aug. 31 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif.

Fernandez will hit the San Jose Events Center Sept. 1, Fresno, Calif.’s Selland Arena on Sept. 2 and Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre Sept. 7-8. He will then play Tucson, Ariz.’s AVA Casino Sept. 13 and Phoenix's Dodge Theater Sept. 14, before wrapping up at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Sept. 15.

The tour will continue throughout Latin America, Spain and other U.S. cities over the next year.

Prior to the launch of the trek, Fernandez will play Los Angeles' House of Blues July 25. That date had been rescheduled due to a respiratory infection.

Fernandez's "Viento a Favor" is No. 1 on this week on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart.
