A pair of music-related startups have landed significant funding this week. Widget-based fan-club outfit Kadoink has nabbed $7 million in first-round funding from Sutter Hill Ventures and others, according to VentureWire. Kadoink allows bands to communicate with fans and distribute music via voicemail, text messaging on online widgets.

Meanwhile DeepRockDrive -- a live concert streaming service -- raked in $3 million in seed funding from a handful of angel investors that include former Yahoo Music head David Goldberg's Benchmark Capital. The company just launched its "socialcasting" service that lets bands perform live over the Internet, and charge "admission" to fans.
